PTV Vision Users Group Meeting 2010

Join PTV America at The Westin in Seattle, Washington for the annual Users Group Meeting on April 22-23, 2010.  This conference brings together leading transportation researchers, engineers, and planners from across North America to learn the latest innovations in PTV Vision software.

Don’t miss this opportunity to discover cutting edge transportation software technology. This two-day program of presentations will offer multiple tracks on new developments and applications of VISSIM, VISUM, TRAFFIX, and Traffic Count Management.

Social Events

Wednesday, April 21 kicks off at Safeco Field to watch the Seattle Mariners battle the Baltimore Orioles. Group game tickets and a concession food voucher provided. Joining in on a verse of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame!” will be optional.

Thursday night we’ll explore the Emerald City on an amphibious WW2 craft. The Ride the Duck Tour starts as a humorous land trip around Seattle, and then splashes into a tour of Lake Union. The excursion ends on Pier 57 on Elliott Bay where we’ll dine at the renowned restaurant, The Crab Pot. We’re in for a mess of fun at a private seafood dinner wearing bibs and using mallets to dig into clams, oysters, mussels, halibut, crab, shrimp, and more.

Hope you can join us!

Transit Directions from Airport to Westin Hotel

After claiming your luggage, follow signs to the Light Rail Station. Go up to the Airport Mezzanine Level, and walk about 5 minutes through the parking garage to the station. Seatac Station is the current end-of-the line station, so all trains will go to Downtown Seattle. Purchase a ticket with cash or credit to Westlake Station at the Ticket Vending Machine. Go up to the platform level to catch the next train and ride it to the other end of the line:  Westlake Station.

At Westlake Station, either take the escalator or elevator up to the Mezzanine Level. From this level, walk to the Pine Street and 5th Avenue exit. Relative to the Metro Customer Shop, this exit is on the other end of the Mezzanine. Take the escalator or elevator to the 5th Ave. and Pine St. level. Do not take the elevator to the monorail. If you take the escalator, once at the street level you will emerge onto Pine Street.  Take a right onto Pine Street, and then another right on 5th Avenue.  If you take the elevator, you will emerge onto 5th Avenue and will want to take a right. From this point the Westin Hotel towers should be visible for you to walk two blocks up on 5th Avenue.
