PTV America is seeking a Travel Demand Modeler in our fast growing travel demand forecasting group. The person will work as part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for building, updating and applying transportation models of various scales for transportation planning, traffic operations and related projects. The selected individual will work in either the Oregon, Washington or Vancouver, BC, offices. Major responsibilities of this position include conversion, development, and calibration of travel demand forecasting models; estimation of choice models; preparation of documentation detailing model assumptions and results. This position also involves support and training of the growing North American user base of PTV Vision® software (VISUM and VISSIM). Applicants should have a degree (advanced preferred) in transportation engineering, planning, economics or other related field; at least 2 years of experience in travel demand modeling; knowledge in transportation planning, statistics, GIS and modeling; good computer skills especially in data processing and programming (VB, Python, etc.).
