PTV AMERICA PROMOTES EMPLOYEES
Corvallis, OR, August 17, 2006 PTV America, Inc., transportation consulting firm and North American distributor of all PTV Traffic and Mobility products, announces the promotion of six employees.
Connie Hotard, EIT, has recently been promoted to VISSIM Product Manager. In her 5 years with PTV in the Corvallis, OR, office, she has worked primarily in microsimulation modeling, technical support, traffic impact analysis and software development. She earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
Stephen Hotard, chief software developer, has been promoted to Principal. He has nine years of experience in the computer science field and has worked at PTV for four of those as a software developer in the Corvallis, OR, locations. He holds a B.S. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Kean Lew, P.Eng., a project manager for PTV for 4 years, has been promoted to Principal. At PTV, Lew has worked primarily in traffic microsimulation and travel demand modeling from the Vancouver, BC, office. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
Kiel Ova, PE, PTOE, has worked at PTV for 4 years as a Project and Account Manager and has been promoted to Principal. Ova's area of concentration is VISSIM traffic simulation, PTV Vision integration and PTV Vision training and works out of PTV's Wilmington, DE, office. He earned a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University.
Wolfgang Scherr has been promoted to Vice President. He has over 12 years of experience in transportation planning and multi-modal travel demand forecasting. Prior to his five years at PTV America, Scherr worked as a senior consultant for parent company PTV AG in Karlsruhe, Germany. He holds a Dipl.-Wi.-Ing. (German professional engineering degree) in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Karlsruhe. Scherr works out of PTV's Wilmington, DE, office.
Ben Stabler has been promoted to VISUM Product Manager. In his two years at PTV, he has been responsible for travel demand modeling, software development and GIS. He graduated with a B.A. from Western Washington University and an M.A. from the University of Akron.
