NEW PTV OFFICE BRINGS INNOVATIVE MOBILITY OPTIONS TO U.S.

Corvallis, OR, August 18, 2006 With the opening of its new office in Chicago, IL, PTV America now offers North American customers access to the widely acclaimed products, services and content from PTV's Mobility business group. For more than 25 years, parent company PTV AG, headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany, has been a leading provider of high-end software solutions and services to the traffic, logistics and telematics industries.

PTV's Mobility business field offers innovative software products and solutions to all providers of mobility and telematics services. Industries and organizations that have been benefiting most from PTV's Mobility products worldwide include auto manufacturers, OEM and telematics service providers, wireless network operators and carriers, public agencies, call centers and web portals.

"We are excited about expanding our North American presence by adding the Mobility product and service line to our portfolio", said Thomas Bauer, P.E., PTOE, President of PTV America.  "Combining Traffic and Mobility expertise highlights our unique position in the market and provides us with an exciting future."

"In the field of GPS navigation, we offer on-board and off-board solutions based on cutting-edge map technology as well as dynamic, traffic-aware route planning capabilities. In addition, we provide software components for the development of a wide range of services based on geocoding, map display, proximity search or routing", said Kevin Yount, Vice President and head of PTV America's Mobility division.

One of PTV's core products is the PTV MobilityPlatform, a modular server product developed specifically to meet the requirements of mobility service environments. It provides a component-based application framework, allowing organizations to develop and deploy mobility service applications quickly and efficiently. The product incorporates both out-of-the-box applications and open application programming interfaces (APIs), allowing unprecedented flexibility for customers.

Another product, PTV NaviGuide, is an off-board GPS navigation server, designed to send turn-by-turn directions to a variety of wireless devices, regardless of their processing and storage specifications. It enables OEM automotive suppliers and wireless carriers to provide real-time, traffic-aware dynamic routing and to support mass-market handsets with limited capabilities. PTV also provides on-board GPS navigation solutions to stand-alone devices.

Yount is looking forward to entering the US market. World renowned companies, such as Toyota, Audi, T-Mobile and Siemens rely on PTV technology. By bringing proven, market-tested technology to North America, PTV can offer organizations here the same efficient services that European citizens have enjoyed for years."
